Q: Can you communicate in English?
A: Yes, I can communicate in English. I am Japanese and not a native English speaker, but I have taught lessons in English to students from the United States, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, India, Thailand, South Korea, and other countries.
Some students prefer to communicate in Japanese for learning purposes. In such cases, I use Japanese adapted to each student’s needs.
Q: What genres of music do you teach?
A: I can teach any genre. This includes Pops, Rock, Jazz, R&B, anime songs, video game music, traditional Japanese music, and more. I can teach songs in Japanese or English.
When teaching Japanese songs, I cover not only pronunciation but also the meaning of the lyrics, historical and cultural context, and the beauty of Japanese landscapes described in the songs.
Singers of all levels, from beginners to experienced, and ages from elementary school to over 80, are welcome.
Whether you are learning for fun, want to increase vocal power, develop a voice that works for presentations, explore Japanese songs, sing your favorite songs more skillfully, prepare for auditions, or maintain your voice before a performance, all of these goals can be addressed through my instruction.
I have worked with students who initially could not produce any sound. After a 60-minute lesson, some experienced a perceived doubling of vocal volume and an increase in vocal range of more than one octave. While results may vary for each individual, consistent lessons lead to measurable and tangible improvements over time.
In my lessons, I place strong emphasis on teaching vocal techniques in a way that is clear, accessible, and enjoyable.
While technical improvement is an important goal, I carefully choose simple, easy-to-understand language and aim to create a relaxed and positive learning atmosphere.
Depending on the student’s level and needs, I also offer professional insights and guidance that are often difficult to notice when practicing alone.
Previous students have shared feedback such as:
“I’m able to sing higher notes more comfortably.”
“Singing feels much easier and less strained than before.”
“I’ve grown to appreciate and like my own voice more.”
I also have the opportunity to work with students from many different countries, and I always make sure to approach each lesson with respect for diverse cultures.
My goal is to help you discover practical tips that allow you to enjoy singing more than ever.
I would be honored to support you in developing a rich and fulfilling musical life.
