I have over 30 years of experience in performing, teaching, choreography, and producing Belly Dance shows and events. I have many students who have gone on to become professional dancers and several of them living in Tokyo and other parts of Japan now have their own schools. I am also a credentialed English teacher with many years of experience teaching junior high, high school, and college students as well as adults. I love Oriental Dance and I enjoy showing others the authentic dance done in a classic style. My favorite is actually teaching Beginning students because I want them to know more about Middle Eastern culture in addition to steps and movements. Belly Dance is a cultural dance and I am half Lebanese, so I like to share my culture with others. I understand the music particularly well. Because I am a trained teacher, I really know how to explain the movements and techniques so that students can understand easily. I think my strongest points are music interpretation, choreography, and teaching performance skills.
