I am an active bass player based in NYC and Japan. I started playing bass at the age of fourteen. After moving United States in 2003, I had lessons with a great bass player, Matthew Garrison at The Collective in NYC and took a private lesson from Janek Gwizdala. In 2005, relocated to Boston to go to Berklee College of Music to pursue my music endeavor. I studied music with Matt Garrison and Hal Crook, Gary Bartz and Daniel Morris during college. I moved back to New York in 2013 and since then actively performs around New York City. After fourteen years of living in the US, I moved back to Japan in 2017. I can teach music both in Japanese and English from my experience teaching in America. My way of teaching focuses on your skill and personality. So If you are beginner and want to learn slowly, I can teach you basic thing step by step. You can come to my home studio for lessons or I can travel around Tokyo and Saitama.
Do you have any special skills for this job?
I have been playing bass for over 24 years. I’m capable of teaching from beginner to advanced player and will help you learn basics of bass such as theory, rhythm, etc if you are beginner. I am experienced bass player and have played many places in NYC, Boston, New England and East Coast area.
