Pete Carey is a highly motivated Personal Fitness Trainer based in Tokyo, Japan. He has been a member of the International Dance and Exercise Association for more than 15 years and has worked in many of the premier fitness clubs in Tokyo. Pete focuses on all around Fitness, Form and Function. He is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and former Judo Champion of the United States Armed Forces Judo Team. He has been on numerous sports teams throughout his career and has specialized in triathlons, bodybuilding, power lifting, swimming, football, volleyball, tennis, softball, racquetball and squash to name a few. I Have previously managed positions in the Recreational field such as Facilities Management, Fitness Specialist, Athletic Director, Aquatic Director, and Recreational Director. He served as an Instructor with The American Red Cross for more than 18 years as a CPR, First Aide, Lifesaving AED and Swimming Instructor. I believe there should be a balance in one's life to achieve optimum performance.This complete triangle of health and well-being should encompass the physical,emotional, and mental aspects of life. At 57 one of my big concerns is over doing my weight routine, injuring myself, and not being able to continue training. Pete at Fitness Code has found the perfect balance between getting a good workout, and doing too much. Amazing! I've been stiff and sore and in terrible shape and Pete has been working with me to get fit without injuring myself. In just a month and a half, I am more flexible, in less pain and starting to tone up. Pete is knowledgeable, patient and motivating. I tend to overdo things on my own and he keeps me from hurting myself. Workouts are fun and I'm excited to continue getting stronger and more fit. I highly recommend Pete for anyone who needs that extra bit of motivation and a knowledgeable instructor.

Pete Carey is one of the Best personal trainers I’ve ever worked with. My husband and I have lived in four countries and Pete Carey is still the best personal trainer we’ve ever used! He’s helped me build my personal strength, build my core, taught me how to swim, and worked with me on nutrition. He’s consistent persistent and patient! He models the behavior he teaches! And he makes getting fit fun! I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Pete really went the extra mile for me and was thankfully able to deal with turbulent schedule. I really appreciate that. He is flexible and can build regimes depending on what your goals are. Pete really helped my flexibility and overall fitness. I recommend him.

As an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified trainer, a US a government Physical Training (PT) instructor, and lifetime martial artist, I can say with confidence that Pete is a trainer who knows what he is doing. I have seen him firsthand for more than a decade train various types of people, from businessmen, to office ladies, to military personnel and produce results. Unlike a “cookie-cutter” approach, Pete spends a significant amount of time evaluating each of his clients and trains them specifically to their needs; many of whom do not realize where they are lacking, such as flexibility, core strength, diet and overall fitness. Anyone who is serious about finding a trainer who is proven to produce results, look no further than Pete.

Pete has trained me for over 3 years. During this time I have lost over 15Kgs, improved my cardio enormously and also my overall body strength. As a direct result of Pete`s coaching I have completed 3 full marathons, a number of Half Iron Man triathlons and increased my swimming distance up to 5Km. For the last year my wife has joined me with Pete and she has improved her strength, flexibility and motivation. We hope to run a half marathon together later this year.
